Welcome to Mitchell Place, the farm purchased by Charlie Robert and Amie Mitchell in 1941. Well kept over the years, it now serves as the "beckon" to welcome the Mitchell-Wyche descendants back home to each family reunion.

The photo to the left was taken at the first reunion in August of 1960. All the children of Charlie Robert and Amie Mitchell are featured on this picture.

In the background sits the five-room farmhouse, situated in the middle of 52 acres of open farmland; total acreage of Mitchell Place is 117.85 acres. Amie's running ivy stretches from ground to rooftop to add a splash of vibrant green to the white wooden frame. Off to the right (not shown) is the "outhouse", grape arbor, orchard and garden; the hog pasture is also off to the right. Out back, behind the farmhouse is the smokehouse, barn, stables and horse lot. The chicken house is off to the left with the cow pasture down near the woods.
